Hard work and dedication. Kyle Field is unrecognizable from the last time I was there about 50 years ago...and that's not the only thing that's changed. It is phenomenal the school has kept the Aggie Band intact as time marches on.

Squadron 8 members featured at Parent's Day 10:10, L-R Don Pruitt, John Tidwell, and Chip Stem (RIP). Thank you for sharing this outstanding video! This was certainly the Texas A&M that I knew and loved. Interestingly, a female cadet was featured. They endured some difficult treatment in those times. I hope this has evolved for the better. Harry...I was in the Corps, class of '69. afraid you had a senior moment. There were women on campus. But to be a student you (as a woman) had to be the wife or daughter of a faculty member or student. Were not many but definitely had women in my classes.

A little late to comment, I know, but: The whole purpose of the guidon bearer and right guide is to BE a distraction to the judges in competition. The idea being that if the judges are looking at them, they may not see or overlook small errors that the rest of the team is making. I was guidon bearer for FDT Class of '83, and I can remember my buddy Scott actually chasing a judge around in the exhibition space once..
